Allied Health Facilities & PHD Surge
Resource Page
Introduction
Santa Clara County Public Health Department (SCC PHD) has protocols to manage hospital capacity during emergency situations, often referred to as "surges". The County provides guidance to Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs, also known as Allied Health Facilities), to ensure they can effectively help during surges. The intent is to allow County Hospitals to move less-critical hospital patients to available beds that may exist at skilled nursing facilities. This is where the SCCo RACES Allied Health Facility Status Form comes in.
